THE PRETTY

Being considered "pretty" often means that others find you physically attractive in a delicate and pleasing way. This can lead to positive attention, compliments, and sometimes even preferential treatment. However, the experience of being pretty can vary greatly from person to person.

For some, being pretty might come with certain advantages, such as increased social opportunities and positive reinforcement from others. It can boost self-esteem and confidence, making social interactions more enjoyable and less stressful. However, it's important to remember that beauty is subjective, and what one person finds attractive, another might not.

On the other hand, being pretty can also come with its own set of challenges. People who are considered pretty might feel pressure to maintain their appearance, leading to stress and anxiety. They might also face stereotypes or assumptions about their personality or abilities based solely on their looks. Additionally, they may encounter jealousy or negative behaviour from others who feel threatened or envious.

I decided to reach out to some of the prettiest people I know and ask them to share what being pretty means to them. By doing this, I hope to uncover genuine insights and lift the veil on this often-misunderstood concept.
