Photographers
Rasp & Sturt began not only from a love of storytelling, but also from our background as professional photographers. Over many years travelling throughout the far west, we captured countless images of the landscape, its people, its changing light and the unique character of outback life. We felt there was a need for a publication that could share these moments with the communities they belonged to.
Photography has always been at the heart of the magazine. The outback is visually powerful, raw and deeply human, and we wanted to create a platform where those stories could be told not only through words, but through images that truly reflected the spirit of the region.
As Rasp & Sturt moved into its third year, that vision expanded even further. We recognised there were many talented photographers living in, working in, or travelling through the far west who were also capturing extraordinary perspectives of the region. Sharing their work became a natural extension of what the magazine stands for — celebrating the outback through many eyes, experiences and creative voices.
Today, the magazine proudly showcases photography from both local and visiting photographers, helping create a broader visual record of life across the far west and the ever-changing stories found within it.
